Despite the best efforts, the wound on the beak kept getting infected, making the situation very painful for the bird. His beak started rotting. In such a situation, it became difficult for Luna to even eat food, due to which her weight started decreasing rapidly. Seeing the deteriorating health of Luna, the wildlife veterinary rescue team brought her to Vantara Rehabilitation Center located in Janagar.

Luna’s growing infection was carefully contained and she was placed under the care of veterinarians. Under the dim glow of the operating room lights, Luna was placed under gas anesthesia. Skilled veterinarians delicately removed the necrotic material from Luna’s beak, clearing the infection and preventing further damage.

To ensure that Luna received the correct treatment, a sample was taken for microbiological culture. After the surgery, Luna was kept under observation and given plenty of rest and nutritious food. Gradually Luna started regaining her strength. Her beak began to heal and soon she was able to eat without pain. With each passing day, Luna became stronger and more alive.

His beak, which was once damaged and fragile, is now as strong as ever. This is a testament to her resilience and the care she receives. As Luna spread her wings and started flying back towards the forest, her sweet call filled the air.
