New Delhi. After the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO has launched PSLV-C56 with 7 satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota at 6.30 am today.
On this occasion, ISRO Chairman S Somnath and other officials are present at the Mission Control Center at Satish Dhawan Space Center. ISRO said that the mission has been successfully completed.
Rest of the co-passenger satellites including PSLV-C56 were accurately launched into their intended orbits. PSLV-C56 / DS-SAR is a commercial mission of NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) for ST Engineering, Singapore.
DS-SAR is the primary satellite for a radar imaging based earth observation satellite mission. These satellites will be used to meet the satellite imagery needs of various agencies within the Government of Singapore.ST Engineering will use it for multi-modal and high reactivity imagery and geospatial services for its commercial customers.
This mission is the 58th flight of PSLV. This is also the 17th flight of the rocket in the core configuration alone. According to ISRO, its reliable rocket PSLV is the right choice for the ability to successfully place satellites in the designated orbit.
