New Delhi: Security forces have had an encounter with terrorists in Kulgam of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Tuesday. After about 5 hours a terrorist has been killed on the spot. A soldier of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been injured in the encounter.
Jammu and Kashmir Police told that an encounter has taken place in Huvra village of Kulgam district. There was news of terrorists hiding here. The spot was cordoned off with security forces.
A police constable was injured in the encounter. Later a local terrorist was gunned down. This terrorist has not been identified. It is being ascertained.
Police say that objectionable material including arms and ammunition have been recovered at the scene. The search continues around.
Earlier on June 2, security forces had an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces had killed a terrorist in the encounter. This incident of encounter is of Dassal Gujran in Dassal Forest area of Rajouri district. In fact, on the night of June 1-2, security forces had received information about the hiding of terrorists in Dassal Gujran area.
