Cyclone Biperjoy: Red alert issued for cyclonic storm Biperjoy in Rajasthan

Jaipur. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rains in Rajasthan regarding Cyclone Biperjoy. Cyclonic storm Biparjoy is expected to enter Rajasthan in the next 48 hours.

In Barmer, Jodhpur, Jalore, Nagaur and Pali districts, a period of strong winds can be seen with 150 to 250 mm of rain. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in these districts.

In most of the districts of Rajasthan, a period of cold winds was seen since last evening. This process started in the day and continued till night. Light rain was recorded in some areas.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange and yellow alert for rain in 16 other districts. In these districts too, there is a forecast of strong wind blowing at a speed of about 75 km.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in the next 48 hours in the state. Its maximum effect can be seen on June 17, due to which the state will see strong winds along with heavy rains.

However, according to the department, such a situation is being created for the first time when such a stormy cyclone is knocking in the state in the month of June. BSF and disaster management teams have been deployed regarding the cyclone.
