JeM and LeT planning attacks on NIA office and residences of J&K Police

New Delhi. Central intelligence agencies have warned senior officers of the National Investigation Agency and Jammu and Kashmir Police that terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) may target residences of officers posted in Jammu and Kashmir. are planning.

Also planning to target NIA offices located in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. The agencies had shared an input, stating that terrorists were on the routes of the convoy from Baramulla to Kupwara, Sopore and Bandipora. Organizations are planning to attack security forces by carrying out IED blasts.

Last month, terrorists ambushed a truck near Bhatta Durian on the Bhimber Gali-Surankote road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, killing five army men. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed’s branch People’s Anti-Fascist Front claimed responsibility for the attack

It is also speculated that the attackers were provided logistical support by Lashkar. Pakistan-based Lashkar commander Rafiq Nai and his brother Shamsher Nai are residents of Balakot area of Poonch.
