Delhi. In the Jamia violence case, 9 accused including Sharjeel Imam, Safoora Zargar, Ashif Iqbal Tanha have got a big blow from the High Court. The lower court had acquitted a total of 11 accused, but now the High Court has ordered framing of charges against 9 accused.
Actually, there was violence in Jamia in Delhi in 2019. In this allegation, a case was registered against 11 accused including Sharjeel Imam. But the Delhi Police challenged the order. Now, on the petition, the Delhi High Court has ordered framing of charges against the 9 accused in various sections.
According to the information, the court of Justice Swarnakanta has given this order. The court said that prima facie it is clear that other people including Sharjeel were present in the crowd. They were not only raising slogans of Delhi Police Murdabad, but were also trying to violently remove the barricades.
