Soldier martyred during ‘operational task’ in Baramulla, search operation continues

Srinagar: A 24-year-old soldier was martyred during an ‘operational task’ in a forward area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The army gave this information on Friday. According to the Army, Gurpreet Singh was a resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab and his family includes his mother Lakhwinder Kaur.

Gurpreet was martyred during ‘operational task’ on Thursday.The Army’s Chinar Corps said in a post on ‘X’, “Chinar Corps regrets the unfortunate death of Gurpreet Singh during ‘operational task’ in the forward area of Baramulla sector.” The Army said, “In this hour of grief, the Indian Army stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and is committed to their welfare.”

At the same time, a big news has come out from Jammu and Kashmir. This time terrorists have targeted the army in Poonch. The terrorists fired several rounds at the army vehicle. After the sudden ambush by the terrorists, the army is also giving a befitting reply.

It is being told that many soldiers have been injured in this attack. At the same time, the terrorists have escaped from the security forces. Army soldiers have started the search operation. Terrorists had also attacked army soldiers last month. 5 army soldiers were martyred in this incident.
