New Delhi: Two separate encounters between security forces and terrorists continued in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri and Baramulla on Saturday (May 06). One terrorist was killed in the Baramulla encounter. PRO Defense has said that the encounter is still going on in Rajouri’s Kandi forest.
At the same time, the police of Kashmir Zone has informed that the encounter has started in Karahama Kunjar area of Baramulla on Saturday morning. Police and security forces are on the job. Search operation is going on.
Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet, “An encounter has started in Karahama Kunjar area of Baramulla. Police and security forces are on the job. Further information will be given from time to time.” PRO Defense Jammu said contact has been established with terrorists. There are inputs of many terrorists hiding in the area.
Let us tell you that the encounter has been going on since Friday (05 May) in Kandi area of Rajouri. Five soldiers have been martyred in the encounter. Actually two soldiers were martyred and three were injured. But later three injured jawans died in the hospital. A total of five soldiers have been martyred in the joint operation in Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir.
An official release said that the Indian Army is conducting an anti-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir to eliminate the terrorists involved in the Poonch terror attack. The army and the police are conducting an ongoing intelligence-based operation to eliminate a group of terrorists involved in ambushing an army truck.
According to the report, “Information about the presence of terrorists was received in Kandi jungle of Rajouri sector. Following which a joint operation was launched on May 3. On May 5 at around 7:30 a.m., a search team encountered the terrorists.” . The terrorists were hiding in a cave.”
