New Delhi. An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri and Baramulla of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, along with Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, will visit the Union Territory to review the security situation in the Jammu sector.
Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi is already present at Ground Zero, where the army has again traced the terrorists. He was informed about all aspects of the anti-terror operation by the military officials present at Ground Zero. Security forces killed a Lashkar terrorist in an encounter in Baramulla this morning.
Baramulla SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure said that some suspicious activities were reported. A cordon and search operation was launched and during that time firing was done towards us and in retaliatory firing one Lashkar terrorist was killed.
The slain terrorist has been identified as Abid Wani, a resident of Yarhol Babapora Kulgam. He said that in view of the G20 summit, the security forces are alert and we are neutralizing the threat. Baramulla SSP said that G20 summit will be organized successfully.
