New Delhi. Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) officially joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Monday. On this occasion, RLD President Jayant Chaudhary said that he has taken this decision after careful consideration.
This political development has happened at a time when just three days ago on Friday, it was announced to give ‘Bharat Ratna’ to Chaudhary Charan Singh, who is the grandfather of RLD Chief.
After the announcement of ‘Bharat Ratna’ being given to Chaudhary Charan Singh, Jayant had said, “Hearts have been won.” The next day on Saturday, Jayant had praised the Modi government for awarding Bharat Ratna to his grandfather Chaudhary Charan Singh.
Ever since Chaudhary Charan Singh was given the ‘Bharat Ratna’, there were speculations that Jayant Chaudhary might leave the opposition’s ‘India’ alliance and join the NDA, which was finally confirmed.
