Chhindwara. A day after dismissing speculations about joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), senior Congress leader Kamal Nath on Wednesday told party workers that he will not “impose himself” on them and if they want, he will. “Will leave” the party.

Addressing a meeting of party workers at Harrai in his stronghold Chhindwara, the 77-year-old leader said he has been getting the love and trust of the workers for many years.The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh said, “If you want to bid farewell to Kamal Nath, it is your choice.

I am ready to go. I don’t want to impose myself on you. It is a matter of your choice.” Kamal Nath’s son Nukalnath is MP from Chhindwara seat. Kamal Nath had already announced that his son Nakul would contest from this seat again. The Congress leader representing Chhindwara assembly seat said that BJP presents itself aggressively but Congress workers should not panic.

He said, “We have to vote to secure the future and I have faith in all of you.” Kamal Nath said that the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya belongs to everyone and BJP should not take credit for its construction. He said, “Does Ram Mandir belong to BJP? It belongs to everyone including me.

The temple has been constructed with public money. The Supreme Court gave a verdict and since they (BJP) are in power they have built the temple.Kamal Nath also said that he worships Lord Ram and has built a big temple of Lord Hanuman on his land in Chhindwara. He said, “We are religious people and keep our culture intact.

” Amid speculations about joining the BJP, the senior leader had said on Tuesday that these speculations were a product of the media and he never made such a statement. . Kamal Nath had told journalists, “You (media) are making such speculations and no one else is saying so. Have you ever heard that from me? You run the news and ask me… You should refute this news.”
