Bangalore. Violent clash broke out between Congress and BJP workers in Kodekal village of Yadgir district in Karnataka. In which 10 people were seriously injured.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon when Congress leader Rajvenkatappa Nayak along with his supporters was traveling in 80 vehicles to participate in a fair in the constituency. On which BJP workers objected. Because of this, there was a fierce ruckus on both the sides.
It was told that Congress and BJP workers allegedly threw stones at each other. Some weapons were also said to be used deliberately. After this the police immediately reached the spot and dispersed the crowd.
After this violent clash, Section 144 has been imposed in Surpura constituency of Yadgir district till 8th April. On the basis of 4 FIRs registered, 18 people have been arrested.
