2 Lashkar terrorists caught in Punjab, bombs and weapons recovered

Chandigarh. Punjab Police today claimed to have busted the terrorist module of Lashkar-e-Taiba by arresting two residents of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that arrests have been made.

Two IEDs, two hand grenades, one pistol, two magazines, 24 cartridges, one timer switch, eight detonators and four batteries have been recovered from the two suspected terrorists.

Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that the State Special Operations Cell of Amritsar Police conducted this operation in collaboration with a central agency. He shared this information on social media platform ‘X’.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that ‘State Special Operation Cell-Amritsar has registered a major success by conducting a joint operation with a central agency and busted the terrorist module of Lashkar-e-Taiba and arrested two people, who were in Jammu and Kashmir. Are residents of.

Yadav said that the operation of the terrorist module was being handled by Firdous Ahmed Bhat, an active member of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He termed the arrest of both the suspects as ‘a big blow to the terrorist module trying to disturb peace in Punjab’.
