Talking about the parties, the NDA leader BJP is the largest party with 240 seats, but is not in a position to form the government alone. On the other hand, Congress is the largest party of the India Alliance with 99 seats. So Samajwadi Party has got 37 and TMC has got 29 seats.

With the Lok Sabha Chunav Result, the exercise to form the government has started. NDA has a clear majority, then all eyes are on Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu, who have emerged as ‘kingmakers’. Many leaders of the India Alliance claim that they can also form the government. Nitish and Naidu are being named repeatedly.

First let us talk about the BJP-led NDA, which is in alliance with many regional parties before the Lok Sabha elections. This alliance also includes Nitish’s party JDU and Chandrababu Naidu’s party TDP. NDA has got 292 seats in the elections, which is 20 seats more than the majority figure of 272. That means NDA is in a position to form the government very easily on its own.

BJP, the largest party in NDA, has got 240 seats alone, which is 32 seats less than the majority figure. If we add the seats of the three allies of NDA alliance – Chandrababu Naidu (16 seats), Eknath Shinde (7 seats) and Nitish Kumar (12 seats), then this deficiency is met.
