Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis offered to resign from the post

Mumbai. The effect of BJP’s poor performance in Lok Sabha elections-2024 has started showing in Maharashtra. BJP veteran and state Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has offered to resign. He said that he takes responsibility for the poor performance of BJP in Maharashtra.

Let us tell you that the performance of NDA including BJP in Maharashtra was not as expected. There are a total of 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state. BJP could win only 9 of these seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP got 23 seats, while the party contested a total of 25 seats.

Disappointed with the poor performance of BJP in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections, Devendra Fadnavis has offered to resign from the post of Deputy CM of the state. He said, ‘I take responsibility for the defeat in Maharashtra. I request the national leadership to relieve me from the post I hold in the Maharashtra government, so that I can work dedicatedly for the party and take it forward.’

Let us tell you that in this Lok Sabha election, BJP had an electoral alliance with Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). In the 2019 parliamentary elections, BJP had an electoral alliance with Shiv Sena. At that time, Shiv Sena was not divided.
