Lucknow. Lucknow is currently grappling with severe visibility issues due to dense fog, resulting in a spate of serious road accidents across different districts. On Wednesday morning, a significant collision occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway (240), involving six vehicles.
A bus, carrying passengers, collided with the divider, resulting in the tragic death of one passenger at the scene. Additionally, approximately a dozen people sustained injuries in the accident.The challenging foggy conditions have contributed to a series of road accidents, with reports emerging from Agra and Pratapgarh as well.
The incidents underscore the urgent need for caution and heightened safety measures on the roads, particularly during periods of reduced visibility caused by dense fog.The advancing winter season has brought about the severe repercussions of dense fog in Uttar Pradesh, leading to widespread chaos. The reduced visibility caused by the thick fog has proven to be particularly hazardous for road travel.
A tragic road accident unfolded on Wednesday morning on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, where six vehicles collided near Nasirapur village in the Bangarmau police station area. The involved vehicles comprised three buses, one truck, and two cars, underscoring the perilous conditions posed by the dense fog in the region.
According to the information, all the vehicles were going from Lucknow towards Agra. A double decker bus running ahead lost control and collided with the divider. Due to this the passengers got scared and started screaming. One passenger died on the spot in the accident.
Twelve more passengers were injured. As soon as information about the incident was received, a large number of police forces reached the spot. Then the injured were taken to the local hospital. Of the injured, the condition of 6 passengers is critical, they have been referred to the Trauma Center in Lucknow.
