Lucknow. Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur jail in the case of two birth certificates of his son Abdullah Azam Khan, may get another blow. The Yogi government of the state will take back the land of the Secondary Education Department given on annual lease of Rs 100 to Azam Khan’s Jauhar Trust.
This proposal can be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday. Let us tell you that during the then SP government, 41181 square feet land of Secondary Education Department was given on rent for just Rs 100 annually to Azam Khan’s Jauhar Trust.
Now the Secondary Education Council is going to take this land back. A proposal in this regard has been sent to the government, which can be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held today. It is being told that in the then SP government, this land was given to Johar Trust at a mere annual rent of Rs 100 for 30 years, disregarding the rules.
The office of District School Inspector and District Basic Education Officer was on this land. The present Rampur MLA Akash Saxena had complained to the then District Magistrate Rampur about giving this land and building of Murtaza Higher Secondary School on lease.
After which District Magistrate Rampur formed a four-member committee for investigation. The allegations were found to be true in the committee’s investigation report. On the basis of whose report, now a proposal has been prepared by the government to vest this land in the Education Department, which can also be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held today.
