Geeta Press Gorakhpur trustee Baijnath Aggarwal passes away, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed grief

Lucknow. There is big news from Uttar Pradesh. Geeta Press Gorakhpur trustee Baijnath has passed away. Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi has expressed grief over his demise. In his condolence message, Chief Minister Yogi has said that as a trustee of Geeta Press for the last 40 years, Baijnath ji’s life was dedicated to social awareness and human welfare.

He was an ardent devotee of God. He said that due to the demise of Baijnath ji, the society has suffered an irreparable loss. He spoke to the bereaved family members and consoled them.It is noteworthy that recently Geeta Press Gorakhpur had celebrated its centenary year.

The Government of India had selected Geeta Press Gorakhpur for the Gandhi Peace Prize for the year 2021. However, Geeta Press Trust accepted the honour, but refused to accept the award amount of Rs 1 crore.At that time, Geeta Press trustee Krishna Kumar Khemka had said that the hundred year old tradition was being followed. It is a matter of the values created by our great men.

Therefore, it would be a bit of an exaggeration to say that even if two zeros are added to one crore, Geeta Press will not accept this amount. Great men had made this rule that we should not take any kind of honor or financial support.
