12 film stars and more than 100 influencers on ED’s radar in Mahadev Satta Scam

New Delhi: Now the scope of investigation of investigating agency ED is increasing in the case of Mahadev online betting app scam. In this series, ED has issued summons to Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor to appear on Friday.

So far, four people have been arrested by ED in this money laundering case. 17 Bollywood actors and actresses are under investigation in this app scam case. According to ED sources, apart from Ranbir Kapoor, more than a dozen A-listers including Bollywood, Tollywood actors and sportspersons are on the agency’s radar.

Ranbir Kapoor is the highest paid person among these people and he had promoted the app on social media. More than 100 influential people promoting the app will also be summoned by the central agency.

Apart from this, more than 14 celebrities who attended a wedding ceremony organized by the app promoters in Dubai will also be called for questioning. Mahadev App promoters Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal had reportedly used the money earned from betting to make payments to celebrities.

ED investigation has revealed that actor Ranbir Kapoor was paid by the promoters of Mahadev App in return for promoting the app on social media. This amount is now considered ‘proceeds of crime’.

ED has not yet disclosed how much amount actors and influential people including Kapoor received for publicity. App based in UAE The online betting app is based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

To register customers on the app, the app had set up call centers, which were routed through Netherlands, UAE, Nepal and Sri Lanka. When customers called these centres, they were given a WhatsApp number where they had to share their information.
