New Delhi:Significant progress has been made by the Indian Investigation Agency in the Mahadev Betting App case. Ravi Uppal, identified as a key associate of Saurabh Chandrakar, has been apprehended in Dubai. This marks a major breakthrough, especially considering that a Red Corner Notice had been issued against Uppal.
Plans are underway to extradite him to India. With this arrest, the investigative efforts have brought authorities closer to the main accused, Saurabh Chandrakar.According to sources, the location of Saurabh Chandrakar, the main accused of Mahadev Betting App, has also been found in UAE and now efforts to nab him have intensified.
Let us tell you that Ravi Uppal is accused of making an app for online betting. Apart from Chhattisgarh Police and Mumbai Police, Ravi Uppal is being investigated by ED in a money laundering case related to alleged illegal betting.
Actually, about 30 call centers of Mahadev Betting App were opened in big cities of many different states including Chhattisgarh in India. These call centers were being run as a chain in a very vicious manner. It was operating in India with the help of Anil Dammani and Sunil Dammani, two very close associates of Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal.
Actually, Ravi Uppal is not only Saurabh Chandrakar’s right hand but also his partner in Mahadev Betting App. It has 1200 branches across the country and it is being claimed that the earning of both the accused is Rs 90 crore every month.
