Kolkata. Amidst the ongoing violence over reservation in Bangladesh, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a big statement. She said that if helpless people knock on the door of Bengal, we will definitely give them shelter, because there is a proposal of the United Nations. If there is a refugee, the surrounding area will give them shelter.

After some time, Mamata also reiterated the same thing by tweeting.At the Trinamool Congress’s ‘Shaheed Diwas’ rally in Kolkata, Mamata said, I should not speak on the matters of Bangladesh because it is a sovereign nation and whatever should be said on this issue is a matter of the central government. But I can tell you that if people trapped in crisis knock on the doors of Bengal, we will definitely give them shelter.

This is because there is a proposal of the United Nations, which says that people from disturbed areas should be given shelter by the surrounding areas.After some time, she also tweeted. Wrote, hundreds of students and others from troubled Bangladesh are returning to West Bengal and India. I have asked my state administration to provide all help and assistance to those returning. About 300 students reached the hilly border today and most of them left for their respective homes safely.

However, 35 of them needed help and we provided them basic amenities and facility support. There is power in the organization!Mamata Banerjee said, all kinds of help are being given to those from Bengal who are trapped in the violence in Bangladesh. Banerjee appealed to the people of West Bengal not to get too excited. Mamata said, we should exercise restraint and not get into any provocation or excitement on this issue.

The Trinamool Congress chief also expressed her solidarity with those who became victims of the ongoing violence in the neighboring country. Demonstrations have been going on for several days in Bangladesh demanding improvement in the reservation system in government jobs and a strict curfew was imposed across the country on Saturday as the situation worsened. Military forces patrolled various parts of the national capital Dhaka.
