Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is going to give a speech at Oxford University in London in June next year. She will also visit the London School of Economics and meet the students there. Mamata Banerjee herself said this in Bhawanipur on Monday.
The school in Bhawanipur where Mamata Banerjee once taught has been renovated into a modern school by the Kolkata Municipality. The Chief Minister had attended the inauguration program of this school.
In the program itself, the Chief Minister informed about the invitation received from Oxford University. Mamta Banerjee said, ‘I have received an invitation to give a speech from Oxford University. I am going there in June.
The students of London School of Economics also want to meet me.’ However, recently the Chief Minister wasscheduled to visit China and Rome, but she could not go due to objection from the Ministry of External Affairs. His Nepal tour was also stopped due to the objection of the Central Government. Now it remains to be seen whether the Chief Minister’s visit to London goes smoothly or not.
