Manipur Violence: Statements of the victims are being recorded, houses of two accused burnt

Manipur: The house of the main accused in the viral video in Manipur has been torched by members of the local community. Sources said that prima facie it appears that no family member of the suspect was present there.

On this matter, the officials said that it seems that this has been done with the intention of giving a message that the community does not support the horrific act of the accused. Meanwhile, the police officers are recording the statements of the women.

Along with this, raids are being conducted around the spot. On Thursday, before the commencement of the monsoon session of the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big statement regarding the viral video incident in the media address.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this incident has brought shame to 140 crore people of the country. On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took information about the incident after talking to the Chief Minister of Manipur.

Manipur CM N Biren Singh tweeted on Thursday, “At present, a thorough investigation is underway and we will ensure that strict action is taken against all the perpetrators, including considering the possibility of capital punishment.” There is no place for such heinous acts in our society.

The opposition is preparing to raise the Manipur video issue in the Parliament session today. The BJP alleged on Thursday that the government was ready to discuss Manipur, but the opposition disrupted the proceedings of Parliament.
