Santiago Martin’s company bought the most electoral bonds

New Delhi: On the orders of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission has made public the data related to electoral bonds. The Election Commission made the data received from State Bank of India public on its website on Thursday. The country’s companies and some individuals have donated Rs 1,27,69,08,93,000 to political parties through electoral bonds since 2019 till now.

Many companies and individuals are among those who donate to political parties through electoral bonds. According to the data, companies named Future Gaming and Hotel Services are among the major buyers of electoral bonds for making political donations.

Future Gaming is the same company which was investigated by the Enforcement Directorate in March 2022. It purchased electoral bonds worth more than Rs 1,350 crore under two different companies. This future gaming company is run by Santiago Martin, who is known as the Lottery King.

It is said that Santiago Martin once used to work as a laborer in Myanmar, but today he is the lottery king whose company Future Gaming bought the highest amount of electoral bonds.According to the official website of the Martin Charitable Trust, Santiago Martin is the founder and chairman of the Martin Group of Companies, who started his journey in the lottery industry at a very young age.

Martin is considered the ‘Lottery King’ of India as he achieved leadership positions in the business through years of innovation and marketing. Before entering the world of lottery, he also worked as a laborer in Yangon, Myanmar. After this he returned to India.
