Crowd gathered in Dubai to welcome PM Modi, slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai were raised

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dubai on Thursday to partake in the World Climate Action Summit ‘COP-28’. The city witnessed an enthusiastic reception, with a sizable crowd gathering to welcome him. As PM Modi was greeted, members of the Indian diaspora joyfully sang ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’ and echoed chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.

Expressing his anticipation for the summit, Modi shared on X, “I have reached Dubai to participate in the COP-28 summit. Looking forward to the proceedings of the summit, which aims to build a better planet.”Prior to his departure, Modi emphasized India’s commitment to climate action, asserting that the country has diligently implemented its environmental initiatives.

He highlighted climate as a top priority during India’s G20 presidency. The Prime Minister is set to engage in three other high-level programs, with a particular focus on fostering consensus on climate funding.It is noteworthy that Modi will participate in the World Climate Action Summit on Friday during the United Nations’ Conference of Parties on Climate, known as COP-28.

Many world leaders are scheduled to attend the Climate Action Summit to discuss ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and effectively tackle climate change. The World Climate Action Summit is the high-level segment of COP 28.
