Mumbai: In Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, a significant threat was reported late on Tuesday night when an unidentified individual contacted the Mumbai Police control room, warning of an impending major incident in the city. In response to the ominous call, the police have initiated a thorough investigation.
The caller, identifying himself as Shoaib, disclosed information about a woman named Sama in Gujarat allegedly being in contact with Asif in Kashmir. As per the caller, Asif is purportedly planning a significant event in Mumbai.
The caller provided the police with the contact numbers of Sama and Asif, prompting immediate investigative measures. This incident follows a previous threatening call to the Mumbai Police, where an individual claiming affiliation with the Dawood Ibrahim gang issued threats.
Subsequently, the police apprehended a suspect, who, during interrogation, revealed a plot orchestrated by the Dawood gang to target the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.The caller had also allegedly threatened to target JJ Hospital, a renowned medical institution in Mumbai. Mumbai Police is actively examining the assertions made by the detained individual in connection with these threats.
