But, she also got angry and walked out of the meeting.Accusing the central government of discrimination against Bengal, Mamata Banerjee said, ‘I have been given only five minutes to speak. The rest of the CMs were allowed to speak for 20 minutes… so I have left the meeting in protest… CMs of Assam, Goa, Chhattisgarh spoke for 10-12 minutes.’

Very angrily, she said that Chandrababu Naidu was allowed to speak for 20 minutes… I had decided to attend the meeting keeping in mind my country and state… West Bengal has not got anything in the budget… as soon as I started speaking about the discrimination against West Bengal in the meeting, they switched off my mic… this is an insult to all regional parties…’ Mamata Banerjee accused the central government and said, ‘… this is a politically biased budget.

I said why are you discriminating against other states. Niti Aayog does not have financial powers, how will it work? Give it financial powers or bring back the Planning Commission.’However, the governments of Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Himachal, Punjab and Delhi did not participate in this meeting of NITI Aayog. All these states have said that the NDA government has discriminated against them in the budget.
