Maharashtra News: 7 more patients died in Nanded government hospital, 31 deaths in 36 hours

Mumbai: There is a stir in the entire state due to the death of 24 patients in a hospital in Nanded district of Maharashtra. Now the Congress party has claimed that after the death of 7 more patients, the death toll has reached 31.

The dead include 4 children. Congress leader Ashok Chavan claimed on social media X (Twitter) on Tuesday and wrote, ‘The number of deaths is continuously increasing. Because since yesterday seven more patients have died in the hospital.

Let us tell you that the three-member expert committee formed on Monday to investigate the case of death of patients will submit its report on Tuesday afternoon. On the death of 24 patients, Dean of Nandesh Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Hospital, Dr. Wakode said that 12 infants and 12 adults have died in the last 24 hours.

12 adults died due to various diseases like snake bite, phosphorus poisoning etc. Apart from this he said, “People come here from far and wide. We usually receive emergency and extremely serious cases in this hospital.

Because there is no hospital like ours available in an area of 70-80 km. Due to transfers of various employees, there was some difficulty for us.’ On this matter, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that he will seek more information on the incident and appropriate action will be taken in this regard.

On the death of 24 patients at Nanded’s Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Medical College and Hospital, Maharashtra Government Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif said, “We will conduct a complete investigation. I will go there (hospital) and a committee of doctors will be appointed.”

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut said, “The health condition of Maharashtra has always been high. But the way all the government departments of Maharashtra are working for the last one year, neither the Health Minister is concerned, neither the health department is working nor the doctors are working, no one has any control.
