NEET 2024: A big update has come out regarding the NEET exam. The central government has made it clear in the Supreme Court that it is not at all in favor of conducting the NEET exam again. In the affidavit presented in the Supreme Court, the government said that it is ensuring that 23 lakh candidates are not burdened with the examination again on the basis of ‘unsubstantiated apprehensions’.
The final hearing of the case will be held on Thursday by a bench of CJI Chandrachud.In the affidavit, the central government said that the data analysis done by IIT Madras did not show any abnormality or any collective error. The government has proposed a 7-member expert committee to consider all the issues raised so that there is no such leak in future.
If there is a need to identify any other beneficiary of the paper leak by the NTA or the central government, then a decision will have to be taken at the policy level.The government told the Supreme Court that the process of NEET counseling will start in the third week of July. It will be conducted in four rounds.
If any candidate is found guilty in the paper leak, then he can be stopped at any stage during counseling or after that. The central government said that it is keeping a very vigilant eye on this matter.
