8th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog chaired by PM Modi

New Delhi. The meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council was chaired by PM Modi on Saturday, in which the Chief Ministers of 8 opposition-ruled states did not participate.

By not participating in this very important meeting, sources associated with the central government say that this Chief Minister is pushing back the development of his state.

Sources said, ‘Boycotting the Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog by the Chief Ministers is tantamount to boycotting the development of the states. More than 100 important issues will be discussed in the Governing Council meeting, the states which will not be represented in it will only suffer.

The chief ministers who did not attend the meeting include Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Rajasthan’s Ashok Gehlot, West Bengal’s Mamta Banerjee, Bihar’s Nitish Kumar, Telangana’s CM K.K. Chandrasekhar Rao, MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu and Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan.

Sources said, “During this meeting, to make the country a developed economy by the year 2047, MSMEs, infrastructure and investment, reducing compliance, women empowerment, health and nutrition, skill development and regional development as well as social infrastructure were discussed.” For promotion, a roadmap will be prepared on issues like momentum.
