The victim devotees Saroj Punj and Poonam, who were traveling in the bus, told that on Friday they had hired a tourist bus and left for Banaras and Mathura Vrindavan darshan.
There were 60 people in the bus. In which women and children were also included. All of them were close relatives. Who were residents of Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Chandigarh of Punjab.Poonam told that he was returning after having darshan on Friday-Saturday night. Flames were seen in the bus around 1.30 in the night. He told that she was sitting on the front seat.
Somehow they were rescued with the help of local villagers. While the villagers Sabir, Naseem, Sajid, Ehsaan etc. who reached the spot for help told that they had seen flames in a moving bus at around 1:30 in the night. He shouted and asked the driver to stop the bus, but the bus did not stop. Then a young man riding a motorcycle chased the bus and informed the driver about the fire.
