Patna. Liquor prohibition law is in force in Bihar since 2016 but liquor smugglers are not desisting from their activities. The latest case is from the capital Patna where a fake liquor factory has been busted. According to the information received, the business of making spurious liquor was going on in the name of Tomato Sauce Factory in Beriya of Ramakrishna Nagar police station area.
Here, fake liquor bottles were being manufactured indiscriminately in the name of branded companies. Spurious liquor was not only being manufactured but was also being sold.Actually, the team of Prohibition Department raided the tomato sauce manufacturing factory on the basis of secret information. During this, manufacturing of fake English liquor was busted. Seven people have been arrested during the raid.
Assistant Commissioner of Excise Department, Prem Prakash had received secret information that liquor making work was going on there. On the basis of this information, the team formed has raided and busted the fake liquor factory.Inspector of Excise Department, Manoj Kumar Rai said that during the raid, more than 20 thousand empty bottles of different brands in 250 sacks and 200 liters of spirit kept in a drum were found.
Wrappers and lids of branded liquor companies have also been recovered. Among the seven arrested people in this case are Amir Raja of Nasrichak Danapur Khagaul, Akash Kumar Gupta of Salimpur Gandhi Maidan, Anil Kumar, resident of Math Laxmanpur Koiri Tola of Alamganj police station and Naveen Kumar, resident of Gaighat, resident of Pallavi Nagar, Mohammad Tanveer of Phulwarisharif Lahari, Fatehpur of Nadi police station. Nitish Kumar of Sabalpur and Shiva Kumar of Vaishali Mahnar were involved in making spurious liquor in the factory.
