According to family members, the doctor of the nursing home had conducted the delivery through video call while sitting at home with the help of a sweeper.
Due to the negligence of the doctor and the sweeper, the child lost his life after birth.According to the information, the newborn died due to negligence in cutting the navel of the child. After this, the family members created a ruckus in the nursing home and called the police, saying that the death was due to negligence.
Police reached the spot and arrested 3 nursing staff of the nursing home. It is said that Julie Kumari, wife of Ravi Shankar, resident of Tarkaria Bazaar, was admitted to Harshit Pali Nursing Home located at Gola in Danapur police station area. Julie was pregnant, due to labor pain on Thursday, she was admitted to Harshit Poly Clinic.
According to the information received, Dr. Kanchan Lata admitted him to her nursing home after taking a huge amount. Immediately after admission, Kanchan Lata went somewhere, leaving Julie in the care of the cleaning lady working in the nursing home. Immediately after the doctor left, the woman suffered severe labor pain and gave birth to a newborn baby through normal delivery.
It is said that during the time when the newborn baby was being born, the staff of the nursing home along with the cleaning lady were present in the hospital. He immediately informed this to the clinic’s doctor Kanchan Lata.As soon as the information was received, Dr. Kanchan Lata started telling the cleaning lady Sunita and the staff through video call how the child would be born and how to cut the umbilical cord of the child.
But due to lack of proper knowledge and experience, the staff and midwife Sunita cut the wrong vein of the newborn. When the vein was cut, the child started writhing in pain and within a few minutes the child died a painful death. Here the clinic staff kept trying to hide the news of the child’s death. But, as soon as the news of the death of the newborn was received, there was an uproar in Ravi Shankar’s family. There was crying and screaming in the entire hospital.
