New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepali counterpart Prachanda will lay the virtual foundation stone of the Integrated Checkpost to be built at Sonauli on the Indo-Nepal border on Thursday.
Top officials of both the countries will be present along with Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary in the program organized on the occasion. PM Modi will join the online ceremony from New Delhi and Nepal’s Prime Minister Prachanda from Kathmandu.
All the investigative agencies including Immigration, Custom, SSB, Police will be present inside the Integrated Checkpost to be built on 100 acres in Sonauli.
21 different workplaces will be constructed in the same campus. Terminal Building, Entry Gate for India and Nepal, Cargo Terminal, Quarantine Building, Warehouse, Import-Export, Cargo Parking, Staff Barrack, Rest Room, Fire Station and Cargo Yard etc. will be constructed.
The cost of this project is being told about five hundred crore rupees. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will virtually inaugurate Uttar Pradesh’s first ‘Land Port’ on the Indo-Nepal border here on Thursday.
AP Singh, posted as consultant at Rupaidiha Land Port by the Land Port Authority of India, said on Wednesday that the Prime Minister would inaugurate this land port from New Delhi at 11.30 am.
