New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s four-day state visit to America came to an end today. He left for a two-day state visit to Egypt from America itself.
He tweeted, ‘The end of a very special USA visit, where I had the opportunity to participate in several programs and interactions with the aim of accelerating India-USA friendship.
Will continue to work together to make our country and the earth a better place for generations to come. PM Modi will also visit the 11th century Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
Before meeting President Al Sisi in Egypt, he will hold talks with the India Unit formed by a group of ministers there. Prime Minister Modi will also visit the Heliopolis Martyr’s Memorial where he will pay homage to the Indian soldiers who died in the First World War.
In the last event of his US tour, PM Modi also participated in the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum event at the John F Kennedy Center, where he addressed business leaders of top American companies along with representatives of Indian companies.
He also addressed people of Indian origin at the Ronald Reagan Center. Earlier, PM Modi had a business meeting with top US officials including Boeing CEO David Calhoun, Amazon CEO Andrew Jesse and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
