New Delhi: The old Parliament is being bid farewell today. From now on, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will take place in the new Parliament House.
In this connection, a special program has been organized in the Central Hall of Parliament. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the MPs, said that the old Parliament should be known as the Constituent Assembly.
The old Parliament should be called the Constituent House. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address that the old Parliament will continue to inspire. PM Modi said that my prayer and suggestion is that when we are going to the new Parliament building, its dignity should never be diminished.
Just leave it by calling it ‘Old Parliament House’, this should not happen. If you all agree, then in future it should be known as ‘Samvidhan Sadan’.
During the special session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Our universities have come in the top ranking in the world, now we do not have to lag behind in this.
Recently, when guests from the world came to the G 20, I had placed a picture of Nalanda there. When I told the world leaders that 1500 years ago there used to be the best university in my country, they used to keep listening.”
