New Delhi.Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation for the Supreme Court’s ruling on Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. In a tweet on Monday, he welcomed the decision using the hashtag #NayaJammuKashmir.
PM Modi characterized the Supreme Court’s decision as historic, emphasizing that it constitutionally validates the Parliament of India’s August 5, 2019, resolution to abrogate Article 370.PM Modi also wrote, ‘This is a great announcement of hope, progress and unity for our sisters and brothers in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
The court, with its profound knowledge, has strengthened the very essence of unity which we, as Indians, hold dear and cherish above all else.’In addition, he affirmed, ‘I want to reassure the residents of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh that our dedication to realizing your aspirations remains steadfast.
We are resolute in our commitment to ensuring that the fruits of development extend not only to you but also to the most disadvantaged and marginalized segments of our society, who endured hardships under Article 370.’
