Sydney. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Australia on the third and final leg of his three-nation tour. He was received by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at Sydney Airport here.
On reaching Sydney, PM Modi was greeted very warmly by the people of the Indian community. During this people raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and Modi Modi.

At the same time, women sang a special song to welcome him, whose lyrics were, ‘Listen, O people of the world, India has called, Modi ji’s Navbharat has to be increased further.’
One of the NRIs said, ‘PM Modi has given a new identity to India. We are excited and looking forward to meeting him. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for us.
Prime Minister Modi will be on a visit to Australia from 22 to 24 May. He will also participate in a community event organized by the Indian community of Australia in Sydney.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Monday said ahead of Modi’s arrival in his country that it would be an ‘honour’ for him to host Prime Minister Modi. He also underlined the shared commitment of the two countries for a stable, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
