Pune. A 22-year-old Pakistani national has been arrested for staying illegally in Maharashtra’s Pune city with the help of forged documents. The mother of the accused is Indian. An official gave this information on Wednesday.
Khadak police has registered a case against Mohammad Aman Ansari under the Passport Act besides cheating and forgery. The father of the accused is a Pakistani citizen. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh said, ‘The boy was born in Karachi. His mother is Indian and father is Pakistani.
The police officer told that these people first went to Dubai from Karachi, where the boy studied. In the year 2015, mother-son came to India and started living in Pune with their relatives. He had a valid visa at that time.” Coming to India, Ansari attended a city school and later a junior college, but his visa expired in the meantime.
He should have applied for renewal of his visa or taken the help of due process. Instead, he fraudulently obtained an Aadhaar card and got an Indian passport through it. We will investigate how Ansari got the Aadhaar card and Indian passport, said an officer of the Pune police’s special branch.
