Punjab: BSF shoots down drone on Pakistan border in Tarn Taran

New Delhi: Another attempt by Pakistani smugglers was foiled by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Saturday morning. The drone of Pakistani smugglers once again entered the Indian border.

On hearing the sound, BSF fired and recovered the fallen person. A search operation has been started in the area, so that other suspicious objects related to it can also be recovered.

According to information shared by BSF officials, the incident took place in Lakhna, a border village of Tarn Taran, Punjab. The BSF jawans were on patrol when they heard the sound of a drone. After which the soldiers started firing.

After some time the sound stopped coming. A search operation was started by the jawans after sealing the area. The drone was found fallen in the fields in the morning itself.

BSF jawans have recovered the drone and kept it safe. Soon after preliminary investigation this drone will be recovered and sent for forensic examination. To get information about its flights, status and flight locations

Two days back a drone was also shot down in Fazilka, Punjab. This drone was recovered from Jodhwala village of Fazilka. Along with this drone, 2KG heroin being smuggled by Pakistani smugglers was also recovered.
