New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formally lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, citing derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In their complaint, the BJP has implored the Election Commission to take stringent action in response to Gandhi’s comments.

The party has not only directed its concerns towards Gandhi but has also targeted Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his statement wherein he alleged that Prime Minister Modi had included his caste in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) list during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

In their formal communication to the Election Commission, the BJP has urged for swift intervention and immediate action against both Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. The complaint asserts that the conduct of these Congress leaders has been continuous, fraudulent, and baseless. The BJP contends that such behavior not only necessitates legal repercussions but also emphasizes the need for the Election Commission to issue a prohibitory order against both individuals.

This, the BJP argues, is crucial to prevent the propagation of profanity, objectionable language, and the dissemination of fake news, all of which have the potential to not only sully the reputations of respected figures but also adversely impact the electoral environment. The party is keen on averting any escalation of such conduct, which could potentially compromise the integrity of the electoral process.
