New Delhi: South-west monsoon is still active in the country. Monsoon has covered entire Maharashtra including Mumbai. According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon has knocked in other states of the country including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and some parts of Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu.
The Southwest Monsoon will advance further in the next 2 days and cover other parts of the country as well, said Dr. Mrityunjay Mohapatra, Director General of India Meteorological Department (IMD).
On the arrival of monsoon in Mumbai Maharashtra, IMD Sushma Nair says that the monsoon has entered Mumbai and East Maharashtra since June 25. The air pressure has remained in the Bay of Bengal, in such a situation it will affect Odisha and Jharkhand. The second situation is such that it will move towards Maharashtra and Karnataka also due to air pressure.
Another incident of building collapse has come to light in Mumbai in a day. In Mumbai’s Vile Parle also, a part of the building collapsed due to rain. 2 people have died in the building collapse accident in Vile Parle. One is seriously injured and 2 are said to be minor. So far five people have been injured. All the injured have been taken to the hospital.
IMD Sushma Nair says that the cyclonic situation also remains. Through the increasing air pressure area in the sea, which will affect the North East Air on the coastal area of Gujarat. That’s why we have also issued a warning. In the Konkan belt of Mumbai i.e. Western Maharashtra, which are valley-dominated areas, there may be heavy rains in the next 4 to 5 days.
Due to sudden rains in Ahmednagar, the water level of rivers and canals suddenly increased. Due to heavy rains in Jadhavwadi Rautwadi Shiradhon area in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district, a flood-like situation has been created in the rivers.
