Philippines coast guard ship collided with Chinese ship in South China Sea

Manila. Philippine officials said a Chinese coast guard ship and one of its ‘militia’ vessels sank their coast guard ship and a military-operated supply boat off a disputed coast in the South China Sea in two separate incidents on Sunday. Bumped into.

Philippines has described this action of China as ‘dangerous, irresponsible and illegal’. Philippine authorities did not provide information on casualties and damage in the incidents off the Second Thomas coast. The Philippines’ long-time treaty ally America has condemned these incidents.

The Philippines government also condemned these actions of China and termed it a violation of Manila’s sovereignty. The Chinese Embassy did not immediately comment on the Philippines report.

A Philippine task force said it ‘strongly condemns the latest dangerous, irresponsible and illegal actions of the Chinese coast guard and Chinese maritime militia this morning in violation of Philippine sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction.’

In the first incident on Sunday morning, China’s Coast Guard Ship 5203 collided with a Philippine military boat due to dangerous interception maneuvers, a statement from the task force said. The dangerous, irresponsible and illegal actions of the Chinese coast guard vessel put the safety of the crew at risk.

In the second incident, a Philippine Coast Guard ship collided with a Chinese militia ship 00003 from the left side. The place where the ships collided is one of the busiest maritime trade routes in the world. This is the latest development in the long-running territorial disputes in the South China Sea.

China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei have claimed rights to this maritime area for decades, and the region has become a key component in the US-China rivalry.
