Maharashtra: Truck hits car in Amravati, 5 people of same family killed

Mumbai. The news of a horrific road accident has come to the fore from Amravati district of Maharashtra. A speeding truck rammed into a car in Amravati district, killing at least five people while injuring seven others.

An official gave this information on Tuesday. He said that the accident took place at around 11 pm on Monday night on the Dariapur-Anjangaon road under the Khallar police station area of Amravati, about 650 km from the state capital Mumbai.

The official said that most of the casualties are members of the same family. He was returning to Dariapur from a family function. “Five people died and seven others were injured in the accident,” he said. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Dariyapur.

It is being told that this accident happened due to a fierce collision of the Tata car coming from the wrong side of the truck. All the people killed in the incident belong to the same family, which includes 2 children, 2 women and a man.
