New Delhi: Russia has made a sensational claim amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in India. Russia has claimed that America is trying to interfere in India’s elections and is not even respecting it as a country. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova alleged that the US is trying to unbalance the internal political situation in India and complicate the general elections.
Not only this, Russia reprimanded America in the Pannu case and supported India by saying that it has not yet presented a single evidence on the allegations.Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, ‘Washington lacks a simple understanding of India’s national mentality and history as the US continues to make baseless allegations about religious freedom. Washington’s action is clearly interference in India’s internal affairs.
As far as speculation is concerned, since there is no evidence, it is not acceptable. America is not respecting India as a country.At the same time, Russia has supported India on the allegation of conspiracy to murder Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Russia rejected US claims of involvement of Indian officials in the conspiracy to murder Pannu and said that Washington has not yet provided any credible information or evidence to prove that Gurpatwant Singh was involved in the conspiracy to murder Pannu.
India was involved in some way.Russia has criticized America for making false allegations against many other countries. Spokesperson Maria said, ‘It is difficult to imagine a more repressive regime than Washington in international and national affairs. In November last year, US federal prosecutors had accused Indian national Nikhil Gupta of working with an Indian government employee in a foiled plot to murder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.
Pannu, wanted in India on terrorism charges, has dual citizenship of America and Canada. He has been designated as a terrorist by the Union Home Ministry under the anti-terrorism law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
