Sahibganj. In Sahibganj district of Jharkhand, CBI has once again raided the house of Davidish, Pankaj Mishra and their close relatives. An eight-member CBI team on Thursday raided the residence of Pankaj Mishra and his close associate Chhotu Yadav in SDO Kothi in Sakrogarh for about five hours in the illegal mining case of Rs 1,000 crore.
After sifting through the documents and gathering information in the case, the CBI team came out of his residence with some documents.According to sources, the team has found some important documents from Pankaj Mishra’s house. It is also being said that some political evidence has been found in the case. It is being told that all the documents will be handed over to Ranchi CBI office.
Let us tell you that Barhet MLA representative Pankaj Mishra is in jail since July 19, 2022 in the ED’s illegal mining case.It is noteworthy that Pankaj Mishra had filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Jharkhand High Court order for CBI investigation in the Sahibganj illegal case, which was heard on Wednesday by the bench of Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice SVN Bhatt.
And refused to stay the High Court order. Now its next hearing will be on 15th December. The case was taken over by the CBI on the orders of the High Court after the complainant of illegal mining in Lemon Pahad and ED witness Vijay Hansda refused to testify.
