New Delhi. A new twist has come to light in the firing on a woman in the Saket court of the national capital Delhi. Delhi Police told that the woman had taken money from the accused on interest, which she was not returning on time.
Along with this, the police also told that the woman who was shot inside the court premises was involved in several fraud cases in the past. The shooter had entered the Saket court dressed as a lawyer.
DCP South Chandan Chowdhary told that the woman had taken lakhs of rupees from the accused on the promise of doubling the money. But the woman was not returning the money on time and the accused had filed a case against her, the hearing of which was to be held on Friday.
Several other cases of cheating are also registered against the victim woman. A team of Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested the accused who opened fire in the Saket Court premises.
The suspended lawyer who fired at the woman had filed a case in 2022 against the woman and a lawyer for allegedly duping her of Rs 25 lakh by luring a high interest rate.
