Bihar news: Horrible road accident in Chhapra, truck collided with pickup, 1 killed, 6 injured

Chhapra. The news of a horrific road accident has come to the fore from Chhapra district of Bihar. In Chhapra, an uncontrollable truck rammed into a pickup full of wedding processions. In this painful accident, 1 died and 6 others were injured.

This painful accident took place on Thursday evening in Chhapra’s Ekma police station area near Mane village on Chhapra-Siwan main road NH 531 when a speeding uncontrolled truck rammed into a vehicle carrying processions. In the collision, a baraati in the passenger vehicle died on the spot. While six other people including the driver were seriously injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so severe that the truck driver dragged the Barati vehicle for about 30 feet from the accident site. The ride vehicle was going towards Chhapra from Ekma. Then it collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. On the information of the people around, the police of Ekma police station took the unruly truck driver into custody along with the truck.

Ekma Zonal Police Inspector BP Alok, Ekma Police Station President Devkumar Tiwari reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received, and with the help of the nearby villagers, all the injured were taken to the Community Health Center Ekma for immediate treatment. Where doctor Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh declared a Barati named Deepak Bhagat (23) dead during treatment.

During this, the dead body of Deepak Bhagat was taken into custody by the police and sent to Sadar Hospital Chhapra for post-mortem. Meanwhile, after getting the information about the accident of Barati vehicle, other Barati and family members also reached CHC Ekma. Where one of the deceased was identified as Deepak Kumar Bhagat (32), son of Harendra Bhagat of Raghunathpur police station area of Siwan district.
