Record breaking rain after 17 years in Shimla, rock fell on house in Solan

Shimla. It has been raining continuously in Himachal Pradesh for the last four days. The situation is that due to continuous rains, there is relief from the heat. But the ripe crop of wheat has been ruined.

In Shimla, the rain in a day has broken the 17-year-old record. At the same time, snow has fallen in the high altitude areas including Lahaul, Rohtang, Kangra, Chamba. At the same time, in Solan district, a lentor broke and a youth was injured after a rock fell on a house. The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for Tuesday.

Voting for municipal elections is going on in Shimla on Tuesday morning. But here the rain has disturbed and a small number of people have come out of their homes to cast their votes.

It is raining continuously in Shimla since last Saturday. It is getting cold like December here. However, a large number of tourists are also reaching Shimla to enjoy the weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to rain, the mercury has dropped by 12 degrees in Una, the hottest district of Himachal Pradesh. On the other hand, Palampur recorded the highest temperature of 25 degrees Celsius on Monday.

At the same time, the minimum temperature of 3.1 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Keylong of Lahaul Spiti. In the last 12 hours, Joginder Nagar of Mandi has received 47 mm of rain. Apart from this, it has rained 24 mm in Manali and 23 mm in Pachhad of Sirmaur.
