Himachal Rain: School-college closed due to heavy rain, gates of Bhakra Dam opened

Shimla. Due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, the situation has worsened across the state. Due to heavy rains in other districts including Shimla, Mandi, Sirmaur, there has been a lot of loss of life.

Cloud burst in Nachan in Mandi district and Patdighat in Sarkaghat. Similarly, the incident of cloudburst has also come to the fore in Kandaiwala of Nahar of Sirmaur.

All schools, colleges and educational institutions have been closed for 14 August in the state. At present, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Monday in the state.

The situation in the state has become like that of July 9. The gates of Bhakra Dam have been opened in Bilaspur. Here the water level was seven feet less than the danger level.

According to the information, it is getting heavy in Himachal Pradesh for four consecutive days. The entire area in Balh of Sundernagar in Mandi district has been submerged in water. Similarly, many local roads are closed in Shimla.
